Few quick Tim Tebow notes.
- This ESPN writer argues Tebow has proven he can win a few games if Mark Sanchez goes down to injury. But, and this is a big “but…” BUT, he says Tim Tebow is not a franchise starting quarterback who you want running the show for an entire season. I couldn’t disagree more. Let’s not forget that Tebow never got a spring camp as a starter QB. That’s a big deal.
- Tim Tebow is ‘crazy strong’ in weight room. He outperformed one of his linemen on a strength challenge.
- Finally, Jets Coach Rex Ryan says: Tebow will only take second-team QB snaps. I’m not sure this means much. They may be wanting to avoid a bigger quarterback controversy, or they may want to be taking the pressure off Sanchez if he’s complaining privately to them. And they may be doing this because Tebow hasn’t looked sharp.
All of these stories do nothing to change my belief that Tim Tebow will DEFINITELY be the starter of the Jets. Probably by the sixth or seventh game. (And for those who don’t know… No, I’m not one of Tim Tebow’s religious fanatical fans.)
