I loved Star Wars, but I’m not a science fiction nut. Really, I’ve seen or read very little science fiction. And that won’t change anytime soon.
But, I’ll never forget the hoverbike, or Biker Scout. (Photo.)
It was so cool that I bought a small model of it, which would probably be worth something if I knew where it was. But I’m digressing here, which my writing books say I shouldn’t do.
My point to this poorly executed blog post is that there’s a working model that closely resembles this awesome machine I dreamed of back in the day. Check out the video below!

P.S. Please accept the greatest gift I can give.
P.P.S. Thanks to all who continue to make my novels a huge success. Little Man, and the Dixon County War has gone as high as No. 16 on the Amazon UK Paid List (see here and here), landing smack dab between a Louis L’Amour and Zane Grey book. And Sold Out has already gone as high as No. 81 on the Amazon Paid List for the category of War (see here and here). Learn more about both books here. And thanks a million to all my friends and fans who peddle my stuff like street pushers.
And where are the lasers?!?!? I agree that was one of the cooler Star Wars toys, I was so jealous whe my sister got one and I did not ; ) I am in favor of short digressing, it shows you are human. Dave V.

As a child of the ’60’s and a life long fan of the Jetsons, I’ve got just one question. Where’s my flying car?

I’m with you there. Of course, the military probably has ’em, but we won’t know about them for twenty years!
