I haven’t written about that quagmire called Afghanistan lately, but there’s been little need.
Things are as bad (or possibly worse) than they’ve ever been.
Consider this:
- Insider attacks are now the biggest killer of NATO Troops.
- We’ve got a top Marine General who says, “I don’t know why they hate us, and I don’t care.”
- And we now know that the places we sent extra troops as part of the 30,000-troop surge are no better than they were before the extra troops arrived.
My view remains the same: Let’s get out of Afghanistan, like now.

Or even two days ago. And how about a General making such stupid remarks? Do they not even teach the history of warfare anymore?
I seem to remember something about “knowing your enemy…”
