What really happened in the attacks in Benghazi

Best summary I’ve seen of the attacks in Benghazi, where four Americans were killed: article.

The good news is we’re finally sending in the Marines. I guarantee that shit won’t happen again.

P.S. Please accept the greatest gift I can give.

P.P.S. Thanks to all who continue to make my novels a success. I seriously couldn’t have done it with everyone’s support. I’m excited to say that Little Man, and the Dixon County War  has gone as high as No. 16 on the Amazon UK Paid List (see here and here). My second novel, Sold Outhas also done well, going as high as No. 81 on the Amazon Paid List for the category of War (see here and here). Learn more about both books here.

  1. Heard Sean Hannity say something to the effect yesterday that, “50 Marines? That’s this administration’s response?” I thought, “Yeah Sean, that’s enough”. The Marines have landed and the situation is well in hand. Semper Fi.

    • Absolutely right, Mike. When Albania went through its revolution and turmoil, they sent my platoon in. And yep, that’s less than thirty Marines — we were an under strength platoon.

Civilians have no idea — at all — of the capability of a single platoon of Marines. Each of us carried two thousand rounds (had spare bandaliors in our packs), two grenades, one anti-tank rifler per fireteam, and plenty of M-203 40 mm grenade launchers.

Not to mention, but in that story, a couple security dude helped hold off that mob for two hours.

You and I know, Mike, that Marines are no joke. Remember in Afghanistan when a single platoon got ambushed by like 250 Taliban? The Marines destroyed them and I think they didn’t even lose a single man. (I’ll go find that link.)

    • The story is now buried behind a paywall, but here it is illegally copy and pasted in an online forum:

      • “What made his actions even more impressive was the fact that he didn’t miss any shots, despite the enemies’ rounds impacting within a foot of his fighting position.” NEVER underestimate the ability of a Marine and his rifle. And you’re right, the average civilian or rag-head have no idea the amount of pain that a unit of Marines can cause, regardless of the size. Semper Fi.
