Yes, that’s the question much of the time, isn’t it?
Do you measure up?
It’s a tough question.
Below is a video Jean-Claude Van Damme that I came across while searching for obscure Shaolin Kung Fu videos this morning on YouTube.
It’s one of the most real, heartwrenching, non-death videos I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve always admired Van Damme, and how he transformed himself from a skinny dork who spoke French to a muscle-bound athlete who mastered English well enough to achieve his dream of becoming a Hollywood hero.
Yet, still, as you’ll see in the video, hitting your goals in life — even your lifelong dream — doesn’t provide you with complete gratification or peace. Because for most of us, we still have to ask ourselves the question, “Do you measure up?”

P.S. Please accept the greatest gift I can give.
P.P.S. Thanks to all who continue to make my novels a success. I seriously couldn’t have done it with everyone’s support. I’m excited to say that Little Man, and the Dixon County War has gone as high as No. 16 on the Amazon UK Paid List (see here and here). My second novel, Sold Out, has also done well, going as high as No. 81 on the Amazon Paid List for the category of War (see here and here). Learn more about both books here.
WOW! I missed the first two minutes, I could not get over how he looks! I also thought you said heart warming, not heart wrenching, those details! As for those goals, the good enough is the enemy of doing the best. Dave
